Day 01 – Negombo

Transfer to Negombo
Negombo is a modest beach town located just 10km from Bandaranaike International Airport.
A city tour covering all the major attractions and places to visit in Negombo such as the Negombo Fish Market, Negombo Lagoon, Hamilton Dutch Canal, St Mary’s Church and more.

Day 02 – Dambulla / Sigiriya

Visit - Rock Cave Temple in Dambulla
The present Sinhalese name Dambulla is believed to have been translated into Pali“ Jambukola” by the author of the Mahavamsa. This temple is built in the first century BC. With its great number of Buddha and Deva images and paintings on the inner surface of the caves, its origin extends back to a remote period of Buddhist history.

Day 03 – Polonnaruwa / Minneriya

In evening game drive at National Park in Minneriya
The Park consists of mixed evergreen forest and scrub areas. However, the central feature of the park is the ancient Minneriya tank. This tank is incredible place to observe elephants that come to bathe and graze on the grasses as well as huge flocks of birds.

Day 04 – Sigiriya / Kandy
Once a Buddhist monastery, Sigiriya was the royal capital of Sri Lanka for a few decades in the 05 th century A.D. Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is known as the 08th wonder of the world. This wonderful fortress in the shape of a lion (The paws of which could still be seen) .In a sheltered a pocket, approached by a spiral stairway, are the famous frescoes. The summit of the rock, with an area of nearly one hectare was the site of the palace and the outer wall was built on the very brink of the precipice.

Kandy is located central province of Sri Lanka. Climate is also cool compare with other areas. This is final kingdom & British occupation of the Kandyan kingdom in 1815 the territory under the Kandyan administration comprised 21 decentralized administrative units. The name Kandy is a version of Kanda Uda Rate (the country over the mountains).
In evening visit sacred temple of the tooth relic of “Lord Buddha” (Dalada Maligava)
The Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha which is an object of great veneration by Buddhists is housed at the Dalada Maligawa, Kandy in Sri Lanka. It is believed by Buddhist that the blessing of the Sacred Tooth Relic has protected this country for the past 2,500 years.

Day 05 – Nuwara Eliya / Ella

This is considered as one of the scenic train journeys in the world. During the journey the train goes passing lush greenish tea estates, many tunnels, farming fields, villages, various types of forests etc.

Day 06 – Ella
After breakfast you have an opportunity to climb little Adams peak which is a pyramid shaped rock. It stands opposite the far larger Ella Rock and offers marvelous views out over the hills.
It is better to bring hiking boots OR sturdy shoes.
This massive bridge is built entirely of solid rocks, bricks and cement without using a single piece of steel. This bridge was built by British people in 1920.

Day 07-Yala

In evening game drive at national park in Yala
This is most visited national park in Sri Lanka. Foreigners, especially Europeans like to see this park. Block I is the main area for visits. Most of the visitors stated that reasons for their visit are to see leopard and elephant is the most preferred animal. Other than that frequently we can see deer, crocodiles, monkeys, wild boar, porcupines, samburand 130 different species of birds. There is also a small population of leopards.

Day 08 – Galle / Unawatuna
Transfer to Galle
UNESCO declared World Heritage Site the magnificent Dutch fort is the most popular attraction of the town. 300 year old Dutch atmosphere is still very much alive around the fort and amidst its many historical buildings not invaded by the skyscrapers. The beautiful beach of Unawatuna is just 6km south east of the city center.

Day 09 – Galle / Mirissa
Early morning proceeds to Mirissa
In this warm Indian Ocean you will be able to see different kinds of Whales such as Blue Whales, Sperm Whales, Fin Whales, Bryde’s Whales and sometimes Killer Whales. And also common Dolphins, Bottlenose Dolphins, Spinner Dolphins, Striped Dolphins, Risso’s Dolphins. Mirissa is one of hot spot for whales watching.
